Alexander Villuan → Franz Xaver Gebel

After leaving the Golitsyn Hospital in 1821, Alexander Villuan began formal musical training in Moscow, where he studied under Franz Xaver Gebel. Under Gebel’s guidance, Villuan received instruction that helped lay the foundations of his later career as a prominent piano pedagogue and composer.
