Louis Schlosser → Antonio Salieri

Studied under

Louis Schlosser studied under Antonio Salieri during his three-year period of musical training in Vienna. As a young scholarship recipient, he traveled to the city and worked with several prominent teachers, among them Salieri, whose reputation as one of Vienna’s leading composers and pedagogues made him a significant influence on Schlosser’s early development.

Schlosser’s studies with Salieri took place in the early 1820s, when Salieri was still active as an esteemed instructor and imperial Kapellmeister. Under Salieri’s guidance, Schlosser wrote his first compositions in Vienna, benefiting from the rigorous training and artistic environment shaped by Salieri’s long-established traditions in vocal and instrumental composition.
