Luigi Antonio Sabbatini was a student of Francesco Antonio Vallotti, as Sabbatini is listed among Vallotti’s pupils. This mentorship took place in Padua, where Vallotti served as maestro at the Basilica of Saint Anthony until his death in January 1780.
Sabbatini later honored his teacher by writing a book about him titled "Vie de Valloti" in 1780, reflecting the intellectual and artistic influence Vallotti had on his development as a music theorist.
