Moritz Mildner studied at the Prague Conservatory under Friedrich Wilhelm Pixis, receiving his violin training directly from him and graduating in 1828 as one of the conservatory’s earliest students.
During his studies and early career, Mildner also played second violin in the string quartet led by Pixis, participating in the first public quartet concerts in Prague under his teacher’s direction, which further strengthened their pedagogical and musical relationship.
