Harmony
Nicola Manfroce studied under Giovanni Furno at the Pietà dei Turchini Conservatory in Naples beginning in 1804, receiving instruction in harmony as part of his early musical training. Furno, a highly regarded Neapolitan theorist and pedagogue known for his influential teaching in partimenti, played a formative role in shaping Manfroce’s foundational studies before the young composer continued his education with other notable masters.
