Nicola Fago studied under Francesco Provenzale at the Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini in Naples between 1693 and 1695. During this period, Provenzale was an established composer and teacher who had long been active in Neapolitan musical institutions, and Fago’s training under him formed the foundation of his early musical education.
