Nicolա Logroscino is identified in accounts of Leonardo Leo's career as one of Leo's students. Since Logroscino lived and studied in Naples between 1714 and 1727, and Leo was active as a teacher at the Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini from 1715 onward (and later at the conservatory of Sant’Onofrio beginning in 1739), Logroscino is understood to have studied under Leo during his formative years in Naples. This placed him within the influential Neapolitan school, where Leo was recognized as one of its leading masters.
