Vera Gornostayeva was a student of Heinrich Neuhaus. She completed her postgraduate studies in his piano class at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1955. Gornostayeva was considered to have inherited and developed the universal spirit of her teacher, and she also wrote articles about him.
