Viktor Belyaev studied under Alexander Glazunov at the Petrograd Conservatory. He graduated in 1914, counting Glazunov among his teachers alongside J. Vitols and A. K. Lyadov.
Belyaev authored the work "Alexander Konstantinovich Glazunov. Materials for his Biography" (Vol. 1, Part 1), which was published in Petrograd in 1922.
