Borys Arkhymovych (1939–2008) was a prominent Ukrainian pianist and educator whose career was deeply intertwined with the musical life of Kyiv. Born in the Ukrainian capital, he received his early musical training at the Kyiv Specialized Music School named after M.V. Lysenko, graduating in 1958. He then moved to Moscow to continue his studies at the Moscow Conservatory, where he graduated in 1963 and completed his postgraduate studies in 1967 under the guidance of the renowned pianist Yakov Flier.

Upon returning to Kyiv, Arkhymovych dedicated himself to teaching and performance. He served as a faculty member at both the Lysenko Music School and the Kyiv Conservatory starting in the mid-1960s. However, his professional trajectory was severely interrupted between 1974 and 1988, when he was barred from working in his field due to political reasons. This period of forced professional inactivity ended in 1989, after which he returned to his positions at the conservatory and the music school, continuing his work there until his death in 2008.

In addition to his institutional roles, Arkhymovych was an active figure in the development of music education in Ukraine. In 1994, he co-founded and served as the creative director of "Juventa," a private children's art school in Kherson. He also held the position of vice-president of the association "Art and Education of the 21st Century," contributing to the broader cultural and educational landscape of Ukraine during the post-Soviet transition.
